John Francis Daley - Couples Therapy: In this shot, David
Boreanaz (FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth) and Emily Deschanel (forensic
anthropologist Temperance ''Bones'' Brennan) prepare for another
couples therapy session with John Francis Daley (Dr. Lance Sweets).
''We tried a very natural pose for this shot,'' Deschanel jokes.
''Anytime David and Emily do sitcom-y poses, I feel a sudden urge to
tackle them,'' quips Daley. ''Those two are just being goofy, and I was
just maintaining a strong sense of responsibility on the set,''
Boreanaz insists. FinePix F70EXR cameras provided by Fuji

Emily Deschanel - Buckling Up: Boreanaz pretty much chooses
Booth's wardrobe. The trench coat is ''the staple homage to McQueen in
Bullitt,'' he says. Seeley's ''cocky'' belt buckle was actually a
Christmas present Boreanaz received from his acting coach, Ivana
Chubbuck, a few years ago. ''When I first wore it, the studio flipped
out, and they used to have to erase cocky from the belt buckle,'' he
says. ''And now, they love it. It's a plot point. Go figure.''

Michaela Conlin - Bodies at Work: ''Laying on gurneys with fake
corpses. This is what happens when you've been shooting for 12 hours,''
says Michaela Conlin (facial and crime scene reconstructor Angela
Montenegro), posing with Tamara Taylor (Dr. Camille ''Cam'' Saroyan).

John Francis Daley - Couch time: ''Whenever you can't find one
of us actors, they check Brennan's office to see if we are working on
our lines, and they check Angela's couch to see if we are kicking it
and chilling with other cast members,'' says TJ Thyne (Dr. Jack
Hodgins). ''We are usually on the couch.''

Tamara Taylor - Weird Science: ''This is Tamara Taylor trying to
blow me up. Nice. See how they treat me over here on stage 6!'' says
Thyne. Against Cam's desires, Hodgins makes a replica of the bomb used
on Santa. ''He just can't help it,'' Thyne says of Jack's latest
unsanctioned experiment. ''He's a pure scientist.'' Taylor has her own
reason for finding this shot frightening: "Not sure which one's
scarier, TJ's bomb or my ENORMOUS Granny parka!," she says.

John Francis Daley - Duck Season: ''Here is the star of Bones
posing with Emily Deschanel,'' cracks Daley. ''In my character's office
is a bowl of stress-relieving squishy things that keep us
entertained... until we're told to stop playing with them and get back
to work.'' Deschanel's favorite toy in Sweets' office is actually a
combination of two: ''We've discovered this game, and it's my new
favorite thing,'' she says. ''We hide tiny magnets in the sand in the
Zen Garden and then try to pick them up with the big magnet. It's
endless hours of entertainment.''

John Francis Daley - Busy Work: ''In this shot, TJ Thyne, Joel
Moore [who plays intern Colin Fisher], and I wanted to look like we
were busy doing something, when in reality we were just trying not to
laugh,'' says Daly. ''That something,'' according to Thyne, was reading
over their scenes for the gamer episode — which finds their characters
lining up early to see Avatar. ''Sadly, the three of us cracked each
other up in half of the takes,'' Thyne says. ''Joel, John and I have a
hard time making eye-contact in a lot of scenes in that episode.'' (An
inside joke: Moore has a role in Avatar.)

John Francis Daley - (Open) Widescreen: ''This is the exact moment David gave me his cold,'' says Daley, who snapped this extreme close-up.

TJ Thyne - Sound + Vision: ''The sweet and lovely Tamara Taylor
in front of our Sound Cart,'' says Thyne. A truce! ''Hmmm...maybe
that's where she got all those wires to create her TJ Bomb!'' Or not.

John Francis Daley - Plaster Master: ''TJ, in the nude,'' jokes Thyne. ''I've been working out for that photo. They said something about Jack being shirtless.''

Emily Deschanel - Badge of Honor: ''David loves to flash his
badge,'' says Deschanel, who caught him in the act as ''Uncle Hershey''
drove them to set. Uncle Hershey has been with Boreanaz for roughly a
decade. ''He's my main guy,'' Boreanaz says. ''He's Uncle Hershey!''

Michaela Conlin - Watching the Detective: ''Michaela caught me
getting artistic photographing a skull,'' says Deschanel. We can't
blame her. The lighting in Angela's office really is fantastic.

David Boreanaz - Take Off, Your Hosiery: Any Bones fan could
identify this self-portrait: Boreanaz's penchant for colorful Paul
Smith socks was incorporated into his character, who wears them (and
that ''cocky'' belt buckle) to subtly rebel. ''They've become a
trademark,'' says Boreanaz. See: the striped socks Fox sent press to
promote the show's fifth season premiere. ''Paul Smith only. He won't
put anything else on but Paul Smith.''

Emily Deschanel - Heads of the Class: ''Emily took this one of
me in her office,'' says Thyne. ''We realized after she shot it, I
should have been on the other side of the line of skulls, to show the
'history of man.' As is, I think I'm what...Cro-Magnon?''

Michaela Conlin - Kiss and Makeup: We end where it all begins.
''I don't think people realize how long we're in makeup everyday. It's
an hour of makeup and an hour of hair,'' says Conlin, with hairstylist
Peggy Semtob. ''All smoke and mirrors.''
